Running, bicycling and bird cup events are permitted at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, per the Compatibility Determination for competitive events. Two competitive running and two competitive bicycling events are permitted during the months of November - March annually. Up to four birding cups may be permitted annually. Applications received by September 30, 2025  will receive priority consideration for the 2025 - 2026 season. Applicants must download and complete this Application before submitting to [email protected].
