The Sogorea Te鈥� Land Trust works with The Confederated Villages of the Lisjan Nation to facilitate land returns to Tribes without federal recognition. In Oakland, California, the Land Trust established a Cultural Conservation Easement to regain responsibility for a local cultural site, expanding the tools available to acquire and access Tribal land.
