This collection contains materials related to the proposed and final recommended boundaries for the comprehensive remapping project of Coastal Barrier Resources System (CBRS) units NJ-02/NJ-02P, NJ-03P, NJ-04, NJ-15P, and NJ-16P in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties, New Jersey.
Overview of the Remapping Project
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) prepared a draft revised map dated May 16, 2016, for three existing and three proposed new CBRS units in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties, New Jersey: Seidler Beach Unit NJ-02/NJ-02P, Cliffwood Beach Unit NJ-03P, Conaskonk Point Unit NJ-04, Sayreville Unit NJ-15P, and Matawan Point Unit NJ-16P. This final recommended map, dated October 7, 2016, was prepared after a 45-day public review period that ended in August 2016.
The revised final recommended map was adopted by Congress through on December 16, 2016.
