Past Sessions of Youth Fish and Wildlife Club

Virtual Youth Fish and Wildlife Club began in summer 2020 as an virtual alternative to our in-person programming due to COVID-19. It expanded to include non-fish related topics and continues to this day. Here are all of the past topics we've covered during the summer, fall, winter, and spring sessions:

Spring Session 2025 

JANUARY 29 鈥� Attracting Backyard Birds + DIY toilet paper roll bird feeder activity. Our guest is Callie Gesmundo! Recommended supplies: a clean toilet paper (paper towel) roll, peanut butter or some similar alternative, birdseed, string, scissors, bamboo skewer, and a butter knife!

    FEBRUARY 5 鈥� Amazing Amphibians!

    FEBRUARY 12 鈥� Fish & Wildlife Valentine. Recommended supplies: colored paper, scissors, and colored pencils, crayons or markers!

    FEBRUARY 19 鈥� Kid's choice: Elk!

    FEBRUARY 26 鈥� Wildlife art. Recommended supplies: Paper for drawing, pencils, pens, markers, whatever drawing instrument you want.

    MARCH 5 鈥� Volcanoes! + DIY eruption activity with the Education Team at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. Recommended supplies: an empty pop bottle or plastic cup, vinegar, dish soap, water, red food coloring. We recommend setting up by a sink or having a large Rubbermaid-type container to contain the "eruption" :)
