At the Visitor Center, the Refuge has many outdoor spaces, including the Outdoor Amphitheater, Outdoor Nature Explore Classroom, and walking trails, with designated areas to picnic and eat food. Please make sure to dispose of trash inside one of the Visitor Center's garbage cans.
The Auto Tour Route also has a day-use area at the beginning of the route with a shaded gazebo that can be used as a picnic space.
