Anglers can expect to find crappie, sunfish, bluegill, largemouth bass and catfish in the Clarks River. However, river access is limited. Seasons and creel limits are in accordance with state regulations.

The refuge鈥檚 Environmental Education and Recreation Area, just outside Benton, Kentucky, has an actively managed three-acre lake suitable for bank fishing. There are area specific creel limits there. Refuge fishing is a day-use-only activity.
