Fishing areas are limited to Ringneck Marsh and Oak Orchard Creek, from sunrise to sunset. 

Ringneck Marsh can be accessed by Oak Orchard Ridge Road off Route 63. There is a parking lot, an informational kiosk, an accessible walkway down to the marsh, and an accessible fishing dock. Non-motorized and motorized boating is not allowed on Ringneck Marsh at any time. Ice fishing is permitted on Ringneck Marsh when conditions allow.

Oak Orchard Creek can by accessed at the bridges on Route 63, Sour Springs Road and Knowlesville Road. Only non-motorized boating is permitted on Oak Orchard Creek.

All other areas of the refuge are closed to fishing to provide sanctuary area for migrating and nesting  waterfowl. Refer to the Sport Fishing Fact Sheet below under References.

Available species include northern pike, bluegill, pumpkinseed, yellow perch, white perch, brown bullhead and carp. Ice fishing is permitted. The Refuge offers two fishing events - a family fishing day and a veterans fishing day - during the summer months.  Both state and federal regulations apply.
