About Becky Rau

I am the National Coordinator for the American Woodcock Singing-ground Survey (SGS). I am also the coordinator for the American woodcock wingbee, which is part of the Parts Collection Survey. I participate in the dove & Atlantic Flyway waterfowl wingbees and I also band Mourning doves in conjunction with Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) which is part of the larger national banding program.

I assist in coordinating the . I work with the Branch of Monitoring and Data Management technical team on data management issues related to the entire and helped develop the . I worked on groups within the to assist in the development and review of the , , and Attributes associated with the Inventory.  I am also a .

I am a member of the Migratory Bird Program Website Team and act as the content liaison for the Branches of Monitoring and Data Management, Assessment and Decision Support, Migratory Bird Surveys, and the Flyway Representatives within the Division of Migratory Bird Management. I assist with Migratory Bird Program content development for the USFWS website.

Since the early 2000’s I have also managed the webpage content on the Migratory Bird Data Center and have been filling data requests pertaining to the Waterfowl Breeding Population and Habitat Survey (WBPHS), American Woodcock Singing-ground Survey (SGS), and the Mourning Dove Call-count Survey (CCS) until the becomes available to the public or we upload data into our USFWS Repository, .
