About Gary Williams
Gary is the Chief of the Migratory Bird Permit Office for the Mountain-Prairie Region of the US Fish and Wildlife Service and is based in Lakewood, Colorado. He was formerly a wildlife biologist in the Migratory Bird Program, working as an eagle permitting biologist and member of the Western Golden Eagle Team. Prior to joining the USFWS, Gary worked as a scientist in Florida, leading restoration efforts on Florida springs and coordinating the restoration evaluation program for the Kissimmee River Restoration Project. Gary holds a B.S. and M.S. in wildlife ecology and conservation from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. in wildlife management from the West Virginia University.
