About Us
For nearly 80 years, our Ecological Services personnel have worked to preserve and protect the living resources of Nebraska.
Our team provides biological advice to federal and state agencies, industry, and members of the public concerning the conservation of federally protected natural resources.
Our office is located south of the Interstate-80 / Alda Interchange and just north of the central Platte River (or Big Bend Reach) that serves as a staging area for roughly 200,000 sandhills cranes during their spring and fall migrations, provides suitable habitat for several other migratory bird and wildlife species, and is federally designated critical habitat for the federally endangered whooping crane.
